I am currently volunteering at Byron Bay Yoga Centre as a resident and working on my projects after 2 years living and working in Australia.
In the last two years I have :
– worked in a farm sanctuary in New South Wales for 5 weeks,
– worked in Townsville, QLD in hospitality for about 3months. Although none of these are my original fields, I need to complete specific work to ask for a visa extension that will allow me to stay in Australia until March 2026. I applied August 23rd and got granted the second year on November 7th. I can now stay until March 2026 🙂
– done about 3weeks of workaway at Daintree Crocodylus, mainly washing dishes for the in-house restaurant
– travelled down the East Coast, with a friend, then by myself, all the way to Sydney
– worked in Sydney as all-rounder at Two Chaps and kitchen hands at Funky Pies, and lived in 7 (!) different places in the city (Coogee, Haberfield, Newtown, Lewisham, St Peters, Marrickville, Rozelle)
– volunteered at Swami’s Yoga Retreat near Sydney, and taught yoga classes to both volunteers and guests 🙂
– worked as Receptionist at a 5-start Hotel in Hobart
What I am working on
Un-Co Studio
I have rebranded my ethical plant-based accessories brand to Un-Co Studio. I am now B2B only and producing personalised items, from plant-based materials and with ethical workshops.
After almost 60,000 tags, the partnership with Les Maisons du Voyage to produce luggage tags for their customers is still going.
Travel Planner
I have officially launched my travel planning activity, helping clients to plan their travel to Australia. The website is still now live at Slowe Travel.
Yoga Teaching
I am officially a hatha/vinyasa and yin teacher! I taught classes in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart- looking forward to more of it!
What I am learning
I have started learning Japanese on Duolingo since last October. It’s so hard, but I love getting better at it! Hopefully I will visit the country one day.
